Ivy’s Ideas…

Ok, I know that there is still 6 more days until Christmas. But I can’t help it – there is a blizzard outside right now, and well I should be sleeping. It’s way past my bedtime so I’m a little loopy.

I spent tonight doing two things snuggled all up in my house during this blizzard. First I was watching the Muppet Christmas Special I recorded off of NBC – Letters to Santa and let me tell you I thought it was the best Muppet Special since a Very Merry, Muppet Christmas Movie – yeah I liked that one too… I enjoyed the whole thing but am especially in love with the song that Gonzo and Fozzie sing near the end “I wish I could be Santa”

I love Gonzo anyways he’s my favorite – I love Kermit and Fozzie too, but Gonzo won a special place in my heart and his first verse in the song made me want to cry.

The second thing I was doing watching the Christmas Special was editing some more clipart off of my MIB SS Megan and Sundance – today I tackled the side panel.

Well today, I’ve been a busy little pony. I’ve been working on the Accessory ID part of the site- I’ve yet to upload it but when I do you will see big changes! I’ve started in on the UK and foreign pony accessories – a huge undertaking – so anyone who has pictures of them MOC please, please donate some pictures. I’ve also been looking for a WordPress theme for after the holidays. Can’t have the pretty Christmas Holly and Poinsetta’s up forever. ;P
I spent a bit of time being lazy and playing Shadow the Hedgehog on Game Cube – Yeah I know it’s not a Wii but I can’t afford one.
Today is my last day off of work before Christmas – so I’m trying to relax a bit. I work at Wal-Mart on overnights. So my days tend to be reversed – Is say good morning around 9:00pm and good night around 7:00am. It confuses a lot of people.

I was very bad and went to eBay today – I try to stay away from there as I am on a tight budget – but there was a lot of five sets of flutter wings – I put a bid on it but was outbid by a sniper. -It’s a good thing as I wouldn’t have been able to eat this month had I won them.  I couldn’t believe they sold for only $32… Prices on eBay are so funny right now!

Of course I spent my normal amount of time on Neopets – addicted to that site – I’m ivymlpny there if you ever want to look me up. I won a golden paint brush from the Fruit Machine the other day!

Most of the day however was dedicated to sorting out the pictures and links on the Accessory ID site. I might upload it later today after I’ve finsihed going through and making sure that all the pictures are working and all the pages I haven’t added anything to yet at least have the link structure on them.

Well instead of a news page that I never get around to updating. I decided to start a blog on my site. Here I plan to keep track of what I’ve done to the site, new info I’ve added or just whatever I feel about writing for the day.

For those of you who may not have met me before (and I don’t know how you haven’t run across me before) my name is Ivy and I have been collecting My Little Ponies most of my life. If you add up the time I’ve collected it’s over 20 years. Youch!  I’ve been part of the on-line My Little Pony community since early in 1997 and have had my webpage just about as long – it’s been know as two titles in it’s long life Ivy’s My Little Pony Page (RIP) and now Ponyland Tours.  Because of a couple of server moves and very little free time on my part it’s currently not in the greatest of shapes (IE: broken links, missing pages, images etc.) but I’ve been working on fixing it. (Slowly)

I’m also a My Little Pony Artist. – Though not as good as some out there. I love drawing ponies and have about 40 sketchbooks just full of pony drawings. Sometimes I draw pictures for my page – then sometimes I scan them off the numerous backcards, books, posters, etc., that I own.

I’m an avid accessory collector – and given the choice between G1 and G3s I will take a G1 every time – but that doesn’t mean I don’t buy any G2s and G3s that I find – I just love G1s more.

I just bought my own house and am planning a Meet in May to try to recruit some help to set up my massive pony collection.

I’ve been working on photographing my collection and setting up a massive My Little Pony Database – I’m always looking for pictures for the project if you want to help me out – which has also been slow going, as my camera is currently broken. But Santa has promised me a new one for Christmas! I’m so excited about that.

Today on the page I worked on the accessory ID section – I fixed the dates and links on the US pages – and while I have yet to upload them – I’ve started to work on the UK and foreign pony accessories pages. – Help would definitely be appreciated here, as I have many pictures saved over the years from eBay, my collection of MOC pictures of these is far from complete.

Well I guess that is enough for today, if you have any comments or suggestions feel free to post them.
