Hello everybody,
My name is Apple Blossom. Before we begin the tour let me give you
a short history on Ivy's collection.
The ones with the ***'s are ponies that were in her original collection.
She started collecting ponies in 1986 when she was eight. Both her
and her little sister received ponies for presents and saved their allowances
to get them. In 1990, her mom deemed her too old to be getting little
ponies anymore. So sadly, Ivy bought her last one with her allowance money.
Whirly, would be the last pony she was ever to get new out of the package.
When she was
16 in 1994, she decided to start to collect them again. However,
to her dismay they were not anywhere to be found in stores anymore.
They had been discontinued. Then one day while at their local flea market.
Ivy spotted a green pegasus. Medley! She bought her and the
blue pony that was with her. She did not know the blue pony with
pink hair and yellow puppies symbols, name at the time she bought them
but she didn't care. After that she searched all flea markets for
more My Little ponies and was very rewarded to find many. Her collection
grew numerous; soon everyone in her family knew she was collecting.
She had found the nursery and the school of dance at the flea market.
And had found tons of ponies. She didn't know the names to all of
them but bought them any ways. She found Paradise Estate for sale
for $35.00 and though it was a little high, she bought it any ways.
She received the Show Stable, Lemon Drop and Brandy as a Christmas gift
from her cousins. As a graduation present in 1995, her best friend
gave her all of her My Little Ponies that they had played with as children.
When she had finally gotten, the internet at home in fall of 1997 she had
well over 200 ponies. When she found Dream Valley she was delighted,
finally names for all of her ponies. Now her collection numbers over 1000 and she's still going.
